Pandora

Pandora is just about the coolest web music station I've ever seen. You enter either a song or artist and it creates a "station" of music similar to your entry. You can create as many entries per station as you want and can create 100 stations. First 10 hours are free, only $36 for the whole year of listening. Check it out at www.pandora.com

Interesting concept. I like how it takes the guess work out of having to find the right internet radio station. The only downside is that you can't skip at will (as in there is a limit per hour).

I wonder how they track the first 19 hours of your usage...with a cookie, by I.P. address? I'm also going to have to see if this makes it through the filters at work tomorrow.

By the way, no censoring, but I got rid of the double post (I've also turned off comment moderation).

I'm not sure how Pandora moderates, I guess it's probably by IP address or cookies.

By the way, I hadn't commented on it yet, but I enjoyed reading the text of your sermon. I'm a month or two away from giving a mini-sermon (more of a testimonial on three specific things going on in your life, but I digress) at my church and as much as I speak in public (I give a lot of speeches at conferences for work), I still get nervous when I in front of the congregation.

There is an excellent book by Brian Chapel called "Christ Centered Preaching." Although it is just mini-sermon, you'll find a lot of information in the book helpful as you prepare not just your topic, but yourself. I did not have a lot of time to read the whole book, but just skimming the first three chapters taught me a lot about the purpose, focus and preparation.
