The Windows Genuine Advantage Validation Tool enables you to verify that your copy of Microsoft Windows is genuine. The tool validates your Windows installation by checking Windows Product Identification and Product Activation status. After you install this item, you may have to restart your computer. Once you have installed this item, it cannot be removed.
Now my copy is legit, so I don't care, but this is annoying nonetheless.

I can say, I've been there before... It was even more impressive when it was during a presentation in a conference room.
Yes, I've been there and done that too. For some time now I have been making plans to switch sides, partly because Macs are more geared for what I do on computers...and in part because of my general frustration level with OS, software and software/hardware conflicts on my PC. I will, however, keep a barebones box around just so that I can check my blogs on that crap browser to see if I need to add any hacks to my CSS.
